Rob Gronkowski Takes Over From Jimmy Kimmel As Host Of L.A. Bowl
deadline.comFormer NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski is the new host of the L.A. Bowl, it was announced Saturday. He replaces Jimmy Kimmel, who served since the bowl game’s inception. “It’s Gronk’s turn now … I can get used to this,” Gronkowski said in an X video announcing the former All-Pro tight end as host.
Gronkowski played for the New England Patriots (2010-18) and won three Super Bowls, emerging as one of the top targets for retried seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Tom Brady.
Gronkowski retired after the 2018 season, but returned to reunite with Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The duo won a final Super Bowl together in 2020 before Gronkowski retired again after the 2021 season.
