Roadworks will close A85 road at Glen Ogle for eight nights

The A85 between Lochearnhead and Lix Toll will be closed for roadworks for eight nights from this Sunday, May 14.Diversions will be in place during the Glen Ogle works from 8pm to 5am.For drivers travelling between Lochearnhead and Crianlarich, a signed diversion will be in place via the A84, A81, A811 and A82, lengthening the journey by 59 miles.However, during periods of closure, there will be ‘amnesties’ at 9pm, 11pm, 1am and 3am to allow waiting vehicles to be escorted through the site.To ensure they can be accommodated, drivers are encouraged to arrive before these periods.Local access will also be permitted outwith the immediate works area at all times.Emergency service vehicles will also be allowed to pass through the site throughout the working period.BEAR Scotland’s North West representative Ian Stewart said: “This resurfacing project on the A85 will help address defects and greatly improve the surface for motorists.“For the safety of road workers and drivers, the road closure is required.
