Sign up to the weekly West Lothian Courier newsletter for the latest West Lothian news and sport.Two overnight closures are planned on the M8 between Junction 2 and 3 later this month.The closures will allow Transport Scotland’s operating company, BEAR Scotland, to resurface almost 1.8km of hard shoulder, in a £130,000 project.To keep roadworkers and motorists safe during these works, the westbound M8 will be closed between Junctions 2 and 3 on the nights of October 20 and 21 between 8.30pm and 6am.A diversion route for westbound traffic will be signposted from M8 Junction 2 to M8 Junction 3 via the A89.This diversion will add an estimated nine minutes and 1.6 miles to affected journeys.The eastbound carriageway will remain open.Traffic.
