Riverdance announces 30th anniversary tour for 2025 including Manchester date

The ‘Global phenomenon’ Riverdance has announced a 30th anniversary tour will take place next year at venues around the UK. The Riverdance troupe which created the global cultural phenomenon will perform in 30 venues over the course of 2025 to celebrate a milestone anniversary.

Kicking off at Swansea Arena on August next year, the troupe will perform three nights before heading to cities including Sheffield, Blackpool, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow, amongst others.

The tour will end at London’s Hammersmith Apollo next December. Riverdance, which has its roots in Irish dancing, rose to prominence and became a headline act after being featured during the interval of the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin.

American dancers Michael Flatley and Jean Butler were among the original performers who captured the audience during an eight-minute dance at The Point theatre.
