She rose to prominence in February 2012 when she featured on DJ Fresh's single "Hot Right Now", which reached number one in the UK. Her debut studio album, Ora, released in August 2012, debuted at number one in the United Kingdom. The album contained the UK number-one singles, "R.I.P." and "How We Do (Party)". Grimmy, who was a judge on The X Factor alongside Rita in 2015, said: “When I finished X Factor a gang of 12 of us went on holiday to Miami and Rita Ora came. “On New Year’s Eve I was DJing at a party.
She was nowhere to be seen, and came down at 2am – she missed New Year and was like: ‘Sorry. I took so long getting ready’.” The You For Me singer made amends by keeping the celebrations going well into the early hours.
