Rio Ferdinand has hit out at the lack of leaders at Manchester United, claiming he would have screamed at Bruno Fernandes over the sloppy mistakes he made against West Brom at the weekend.
United were below par on Saturday night as they missed a host of chances and were careless in possession in their 1-0 win. Fernandes did make six key passes against the Baggies, which was the highest number made by a player in Europe's top five leagues this season but was also guilty of giving the ball away at times.
While there is little doubt over Fernandes' importance for United, Ferdinand says he would like to see more accountability from the players around him.
