Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tenure as Manchester United boss has been quite like no other. It’s a struggle to recall a manager who’s divided opinion to this extent amongst fans, pundits and the media.
The one thing however in which has made no sense is former teammates of Solskjaer refusing to criticise him. Nobody has asked for the likes of Gary Neville to outright state his friend should lose his job, but the main area of frustration from the fans’ perspective is he is doing a disservice to the club that gave him the life he has due to blind loyalty to a former teammate.
