Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has hit out at the club's lack of business in the transfer market so far this summer.

United have only managed to sign one player - Donny van de Beek - and have just three days remaining until the window slams shut on Monday.

They are known to still be chasing No.1 target Jadon Sancho, along with a number of potential alternatives to the Dortmund star such as Ousmane Dembele and Edinson Cavani.

But speaking on BT Sport Ferdinand questioned why they have not yet been able to bring in the players they identified as targets at the start of the summer. "The most frustrating thing for Man Utd fans, is that we've all been very aware of who the targets were at the beginning of the window.
