Ringo Starr has shared ‘Thankful’ featuring Alison Krauss, the latest single from his upcoming country album ‘Look Up’. Check it out below.The record is set for release on January 10, and sees the soloist and former Beatles legend team up with some huge names from the world of country music.

Visit here to pre-order the album.So far, he’s already shared the lead single ‘Time On My Hands’, and now he’s returned with another taste of his endeavours into country in the form of ‘Thankful’.“I love this track,” Starr said in a statement. “I wrote it with my producer and engineer Bruce Sugar, and I feel we put an LA country sound to it.

For the lyrics, I always like to focus on the positive, and for this song in particular, about what we can be thankful for. I hope it brings you some joy and peace and love.”The song sees Starr immersed in gratitude for life, as he sings in the chorus: “And now I’m thankful for the love you’ve shown/Your love for me I’ve never known/Thankful for the stars above/Hoping for more peace and love.” You can check it out below.

Comprised of 11 songs, Starr wrote the album alongside T Bone Burnett, Billy Swan and Bruce Sugar, and it marks his first full album in the country style in over 50 years and first LP since 2019.According to a press release, the drummer and singer-songwriter has been a fan of the genre his whole life, and contributed various country-tinged tracks into his work with the iconic Liverpool four-piece, including ‘Act Naturally’, ‘What Goes On’ and ‘Don’t Pass Me By’.
