Charlotte FC sporting director Zoran Krneta has questioned Riley McGree 's attitude after he walked away from the MLS side.

The Aussie midfielder was set to join Ange Postecoglou 's side before a late £5million package from Boro turned his head. Celtic are understood to have bailed out of a bidding war with the Championship club after initially having a £2million offer accepted for the playmaker.

The 23-year-old is set to earn a hefty wage packet at the Riverside having walked away from the Premiership title hopefuls offers.

But it's not just those at Parkhead that were left disappointed by the move as Krneta was left reeling with McGree not playing a single game for the club. With the franchise yet to make their MLS debut, McGree was shipped out on loan to Birmingham City before sealing a move back to the English second tier.
