Rihanna has finally addressed speculation that she'll be releasing new music in her Vogue cover story. While not going so far as to confirm when new music will (if ever!) be released, the multi-hyphenate superstar did hint that when her ninth studio album arrives, it might be in a different means than we've been used to.  "I’m looking at my next project completely differently from the way I had wanted to put it out before," she tells Vogue. "I think this way suits me a lot better. "It's authentic, it's a lot of fun for me, and it takes the pressure off." Rihanna's last album, Anti, was released in 2016 to critical acclaim - it contained the singles Work featuring Drake, Kiss It Better, Needed Me and Love On The Brain.

Funnily enough, Anti arrived after the longest-ever gap between Rihanna albums at the time - four years. The gap between Anti and now is presently six years.

Rihanna's last Number 1 single in the UK was Wild Thoughts with DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller. Overall, she has nine UK chart-topping singles and 4 Number 1 albums to her name.
