Rihanna hints she'll be putting new music out in a "completely different way" in Vogue cover

While not going so far as to confirm when new music will (if ever!) be released, the multi-hyphenate superstar did hint that when her ninth studio album arrives, it might be in a different means than we've been used to. "I’m looking at my next project completely differently from the way I had wanted to put it out before," she tells Vogue. "I think this way suits me a lot better. "It's authentic, it's a lot of fun for me, and it takes the pressure off." Rihanna's last album, Anti, was released in 2016 to critical acclaim - it contained the singles Work featuring Drake, Kiss It Better, Needed Me and Love On The Brain.
Funnily enough, Anti arrived after the longest-ever gap between Rihanna albums at the time - four years. The gap between Anti and now is presently six years.
Rihanna's last Number 1 single in the UK was Wild Thoughts with DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller. Overall, she has nine UK chart-topping singles and 4 Number 1 albums to her name.
