A follow-up series to the 2017 feature Blade Runner 2049 has been greenlit by Amazon Studios executives.The news about the science-fiction program was revealed by Deadline on Thursday. The site added that the show would be titled Blade Runner 2099.Director Ridley Scott, who helmed the original 1982 Blade Runner feature, will serve as one of the series' executive producers.

Mando will play the co-lead role of Manny Cespedes, a good-hearted friend of Ray’s (Henry), who he first met when they did time together in the Youth Authority, per the official character description.
