Ricky Gervais
Ricky Dene Gervais (born 25 June 1961) is an English stand-up comedian, actor, writer, film producer, director and musician. He is perhaps best known for creating, writing and acting in the British television series The Office (2001–2003). He has won seven BAFTA Awards, five British Comedy Awards, two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Rose d'Or twice (2006 and 2019), as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. In 2007, he was placed at No. 11 on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups and at No. 3 on the updated 2010 list. In 2010, he was named on the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people.

Ricky Gervais’s beloved Siamese cat Ollie has died after a period of poor health. The Office star had to say goodbye to Ollie after having her for nearly 17 years.

Taking to Twitter to share the awful news, Ricky said: ‘Just had to say goodbye to the sweetest little soul I’ve ever known. ‘RIP Ollie July 9th 2003 – March 10th 2020.’ Along with the tweet, Ricky posted two photos of Ollie – one with her sleeping and one with her angrily meowing.

His partner Jane Fallon also tweeted the sad news, alongside four pictures of Ollie playing at home. ‘I have awful news,’ she started. ‘My smart, funny, feisty, beautiful sidekick of the last 16 & a half years @myleftfang has passed away after a sudden downturn in her health at the weekend,’ she
