Richard Osman reveals sweet details of upcoming wedding to actress Ingrid Oliver

Richard Osman has opened up about his upcoming wedding to actress Ingrid Oliver, after announcing his engagement in May. The Pointless host recalled getting to know his now-fiancee after she appeared on the ITV show House of Games, which he hosted, with Sir Matthew Pinsent, who also appeared on the episode, calling for them all to have a drink together afterwards.

Speaking about the romance, Richard told Lorraine Kelly: ‘We’re getting married in December, which is lovely, in a very un-showbizzy wedding, just all our [close] friends and things like that.

I can’t wait! Lots of nice things are happening. ’Engagement rumours started when Ingrid was seen wearing an emerald ring, with Richard confirming the news in May.

In an interview with fellow literary superstar Marian Keyes for The Observer, Richard, who has recently stepped down from his role on Pointless, confirmed he was set tie the knot with partner Ingrid in response to Marian’s question over if it was true he was ‘getting married’. ‘Yes,’ he replied, adding: ‘Exciting, isn’t it?’On the Christmas Day edition of Desert Island Discs, the 51-year-old paid sweet tribute to his fiancée and the change she had made in him, explaining: ‘I’m happy with myself, I’ve got these beautiful kids, I’ve met the woman who I’m going to be with for the rest of my life. ‘That thing of competition and ambition, you soon realise that rocket fuel disappears and it’s about happiness and my kids bring me happiness and Ingrid brings me happiness. ’Ingrid moved into Richard’s London home last year after the pair reportedly started dating in 2020.
