Richard Gere gives update on new life in Spain after fleeing Hollywood

Richard Gere is loving his new life across the Atlantic. The “Pretty Woman” actor and his wife, Alejandra Silva, shared an update on how they’re doing since moving from Connecticut to Spain in November. “The truth is that you are seeing us in our momentum,” Gere, 75, told Elle España on Tuesday alongside Silva, 41. “We are happier than ever.”According to the “American Gigolo” alum, their happiness is directly correlated to living in Spain.

As he put it: “She, because she is at home and I because, if she is happy, I am happy.”The couple first met in 2014 and have sons Alexander, 5, and James, 4.

Gere is also dad to son Homer, 24, from his marriage to Carey Lowell, while Silva has an 11-year-old son, Albert,from a prior marriage.“We are like soulmates,” the publicist gushed during their joint interview. “We have the same values, we see the world in the same way and from the first moment we felt like we have known each other for a long time.
