Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley have started on the wrong foot on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and have different ideas about when their friendship started dwindling.

At Bravo Fan Fest in Miami, Richards clarified why she distanced herself from Kemsley and took a moment to reach out to her. “I had said to her I was in a very weak place in my life, and kind of a dark place, to be honest,” Richards told us. “And it was one of those situations where I wasn’t reaching out to anybody.

I was sort of isolating, and even returning a text message felt like a struggle in those times.” Richards recalls her separation from her husband, Mauricio Umansky, and her state of mind at the time. On a lighter note, Richards was one of the founding cast members of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip on Peacock. The reality series followed a group of The Real Housewives stars from across the franchises as they traveled to an exotic location.
