REVIEW: The new punk Cruella breathes new life into the iconic villain

evoke.ieIt’s hard to imagine anyone other than Glenn Close in the iconic role of Cruella de Vil but the new live action film centred on the villain is taking her in a whole new direction.
This film centres on Cruella, who’s real name is apparently Estella, as she makes her way from con artist to the world of high fashion and shows us a few reasons why she might have a thing against Dalmatians.
As this is a younger Cruella, growing up in the 60s and 70s, we get to see a whole other side of her brought to life by the exquisite Emma Stone.
But as it is in life, nobody is the villain of their own story, so Disney has introduced us to The Baroness played by Emma Thompson who is clearly thriving in her evil role.
