Manchester United fans have named the black Sharp Viewcam kit worn between 1993 and 1995 as the most iconic away strip in the club’s history.
As proud partners of Shelter’s #NoHomeKit campaign, we asked United fans to have their say on the club’s best away kits. It proved to be a close-run thing, with two kits from the early 90s gaining over 30 per cent of the vote.
With 36.3% of the votes, United’s black kit, made by Umbro, came in first place. It’s easy to see why this kit is popular, with many fans still wearing it as a retro item today.
United completed a Premier League and FA Cup double in 1993/94 - this kit’s debut season - and it was worn by truly iconic Reds, such as Eric Cantona and Roy Keane.
