Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes (born 8 September 1994) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP and the Portugal national team as a midfielder. Fernandes started his career at Serie B side Novara Calcio and soon featured for Udinese and Sampdoria in Serie A.
In 2017, he signed with Sporting CP where he established himself as one of the best players in the Primeira Liga. He was named the LPFP Primeira Liga Player of the Year in both 2017–18 and 2018–19. In the latter season, he also helped Sporting win the Taça de Portugal. A senior international since 2017, Fernandes represented Portugal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Resident flees house fire after suspected arson attack
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA resident escaped from a burning house after a suspected arson attack in the early hours of Easter Monday. Fire chiefs say the blaze was 'deliberately lit' in an out building in the back garden in Bolton before spreading to the end terrace property.
The resident escaped the building after smoke alarms went off. Pictures from the scene show widespread damage to the ground and first floor windows and the roof of the home on Pentland Terrace.
Around 15 firefighters were called to the scene at about 3.30am on Monday. They spent about three hours at the scene. It's understood police also attended the incident. The fire involved an outbuilding and had spread to the ground floor and first floor of a house, also reaching the roof space. “Three fire engines from Bolton Central and Bolton North fire stations were quickly mobilised to the scene, and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked hard to tackle the blaze in sectors using three hose reels.
