The dog home where Stacey Solomon rescued her new pet pooch Teddy from has hit back at criticism they’ve received for allowing the Loose Women star to adopt from them.Taking to Instagram, Pro Dogs Direct said that Stacey has “followed the adoption process”.

Stacey showed off her new pup on her own Instagram and said Teddy had “rescued” her as she shared snaps of him with her other dog Peanut and her son Rex, two.

She also gave a shout out to Pro Dogs Direct on her Instagram Story and wrote: “I really wanted to share the people we adopted Teddy from because they have been so amazing and just for people to know about them would mean so so much to them and the dogs they rescue. "We adopted Teddy from @prodogsdirect Donna the lady who runs it has been so incredible… I started talking to her not long after Theo passed away”.
