Drake will not be forced to sit for a deposition in the murder trial of XXXTentacion, TMZ reports, after Judge Michael A. Usan granted the Canadian rapper's motion to avoid sitting down for an interview.
The news is a reversal from last week's developments in the case, which saw a lawyer for one of the men accused in the murder successfully argue that Drake should be deposed.
Mauricio Padilla, attorney for Dedrick Williams, told the court that XXXTentacion's public disputes with Drake were legitimate cause for questioning him.
Bradford Cohen, Drake's lawyer, convinced the judge that his client has no relevant information to the case, and the motion to cancel the deposition was approved.
