Renee Zellweger is reportedly making a comeback as Bridget Jones after the last instalment saw the star pregnant and trying to figure out who the father was.

Producers are said to be secretly working on the fourth project, six years after Bridget Jones’ Baby.The actress, 53, is said to be returning to her iconic role as the lovable bachelorette only this time, she’s said to be swapping dating woes for motherhood in the popular franchise. "There have been few more successful or more popular rom-coms than Bridget Jones over the last couple of decades, but everyone thought this one was done for good," a source revealed.

The insider continued to tell The Sun: "However the producers always knew their was a huge market for another sequel when the right story was available, and this feels like the right time to tell it. "It will be seven or eight years since the last movie by the time this one hits the big screen, and fans will be desperate to find out what happened.

It’s a British classic." Production is said to begin later this year, with the new movie being co-penned by creator Helen Fielding, 64, and will see Renée tell the story of motherhood with her boy.
