Anthony Taylor will be the man in the middle when Manchester City face Liverpool on Sunday. City have enjoyed a great start to their Premier League title defence but the fixture list has quite been kind to them so far, with neighbours Manchester United the only top-six side they have faced — a match they easily won 6-3.
Great rivals Liverpool should theoretically offer stiffer competition, but they have had a difficult start to their own campaign.
Though Jurgen Klopp's side decimated Rangers 7-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday, they currently sit down in 10th in the Premier League, having won just two games and lost to Arsenal last weekend.
