Reese Witherspoon Confirms She Is Working on More ‘Big Little Lies’

On the carpet for the 81st Golden Globes, Witherspoon said to Variety, “We are working on it. Nic and I have been working on it a lot.” Co-star Nicole Kidman has also teased the return of the acclaimed drama series written and created by David E.
Kelly. “We will be bringing you a third one, just FYI,” she said while participating in a Q & A at the CME Group Tour Championship.
HBO declined to comment. Based on the 2014 Liane Moriarty book of the same name, Season 1 of “Big Little Lies” debuted in 2017 and follows a group of women in Monterey, CA — played by Witherspoon, Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern and Zoë Kravitz — who find themselves caught up in a homicide investigation.
