Reason Prince William and Kate Middleton 'snubbed' BAFTAs after awkward entrance

Prince William is set to attend the 2024 BAFTA Awards alone tonight, as his wife Kate Middleton is still recovering following her recent hospital stay.This will be the Prince of Wales's first public outing since Kate's abdominal surgery.

He had originally planned to miss the awards ceremony but has since changed his mind.The royal couple attended the ceremony last year but had skipped the previous three years, with William, who has been the president of BAFTA since 2010, sending a video message instead.

While Kate and William's 2023 appearance at the event went swimmingly, it hadn't been quite the same back in 2019 when it appeared rather awkward for the royals.

As the couple entered the Royal Festival Hall, the audience rose to their feet in silence after, with the long walk to their seats in the front row appeared to be rather uncomfortable.
