Real Madrid are reportedly ready to cool their interest in Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. The France international was a long-term target for Los Blancos.
However, he’s been ravaged by injuries this term and has been restricted to a meagre seven Premier League appearances. Real were expected to show their hand again once the transfer window reopens.
But according to Spanish daily Marca, Zinedine Zidane is losing interest in the influential ace. It’s suggested the emergence of Fede Valverde in Real’s engine room means a big-money move for Pogba is firmly on the back burner.
United now risk losing some serious cash on one of their key assets. They paid a then world-record £89m fee to secure his services in 2016 from Juventus.
