Real Madrid announce match squad without Casemiro ahead of Manchester United transfer

Casemiro has not been named in Real Madrid's matchday squad for the weekend as he gets close to signing for Manchester United.

The Manchester Evening News understands Casemiro has agreed personal terms with United and that the deal is making good progress.

Casemiro trained with Real Madrid on Friday morning but he will not play against Celta Vigo on Saturday. Casemiro, 30, is set to become Erik ten Hag's fourth signing of the summer, but he hasn't been signed in time to play against Liverpool on Monday night, with rules stating he needed to be registered by 12pm on Friday to feature in that match.
