But in a dramatic twist the character, played by Todd Boyce, was run over by Peter, played by Chris Gascoyne, as he threatened Jenny Connor with a broken bottle after knocking his own niece Sarah Barlow unconscious with another bottle.
However, it has left fans fearing how Peter, and Chris, will leave the ITV soap after he confirmed in July that he will be leaving the role..
He told Metro.co.uk that his character of Peter 'is very close to his heart,' while a Coronation Street spokesperson told the publication that the door is 'left open' - meaning the 55-year-old could return in the future.
