'Real Housewives of Orange County's Elizabeth Lyn Vargas 'Shaken Up' After Being Held Captive by Ex-Boyfriend

Elizabeth Lyn Vargas was involved in a very scary incident. The 46-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum called the police on Tuesday (February 1) after an unnamed ex-boyfriend barricaded himself in her home in Newport Beach, Calif. Click inside to read more… The Newport Police Department arrived at Elizabeth‘s house and subsequently arrested the man. “She’s shaken up and had an extremely traumatic experience,” Elizabeth‘s manager, David Weintraub, shared in a statement with Page Six. “Fortunately, the Newport Police Department saved her and she’s doing well.” According to sources, Elizabeth has been seeing this man on and off for the last few months before he started to extort her. “He became obsessive with her and would show up at places and come by her house randomly,” an insider shared with Page Six. “He asked her for money all the time, so she gave him a little money, but then threatened to start extorting her.” The man then allegedly demanded Elizabeth give him a car and she told him no. “She called the police yesterday, so police start monitoring the house, and he shows up,” the source explained. “He runs in the house, holds her hostage, has a gun.
