Late actor Ray Liotta will be honored in his hometown of Union Township, New Jersey, according to Mayor Manuel Figueiredo.Figueiredo on Tuesday told TMZ that plans are being made to honor the actor, who died last week at the age of 67 in the Dominican Republic, where he was working on the film Dangerous Waters.The Newark, New Jersey-born actor graduated from Union High School in 1973 - he was inducted into the high school's Hall of Fame in 1993 - before going on to study his craft at University of Miami.

Figueiredo said plans would not be finalized until Liotta's family has had time to grieve his passing.Liotta's adoptive parents were both entwined in the community, as his mother Mary Liotta was a Township Clerk, while his father Alfred owned an auto parts store and was involved in a local Democratic organization.
