An ultra rare copy of a Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone book has sold at auction for a whopping £15,000. Carina Haouchine was one of only 15 people in the UK to win one of the prize editions in 2012.
As a 15-year-old schoolgirl, she entered a competition to find the biggest Harry Potter fan before walking away with the signed and dedicated edition.
The book was safely stored away in a cupboard at her childhood home in Glasgow - before a fire broke out in the tenement block earlier this year.
Thankfully it escaped unscathed with documentary film-maker Carina, 26, then deciding to sell it to fund her upcoming nuptials.
