After 15 years of buzz, rumors and stalled starts, Jay Electronica’s debut album finally dropped Thursday night. Modern hip-hop’s most legendary recluse finally released “A Written Testimony,” his first full-length album, on Jay Z’s Roc Nation label.
His new tracks sample everyone from Rihanna to Brian Eno, and feature collabs with Hova himself, James Blake, Travis Scott, Khruangbin and The-Dream.
The rapper, 45, teased the release on Feb. 7 via Twitter with a cryptic “Album done” message, and he (sort of) teased the tracklist via Apple Music earlier on Thursday.
