SFA to rule on their £8million cinch sponsorship battle with Rangers over fears it could impact on their prize money payout.
Ibrox chiefs are at war with the league body over the SPFL’s agreement with the online car dealer, claiming it is in conflict with a current Gers sponsorship deal.Rangers have so far refused to display cinch logos on their shirts in the opening two Scottish Premiership games of the season, or display branding at Ibrox for their clash against Livingston.
And that has put the £1.6 million-a-year deal in jeopardy with the league now fearful cinch will putt the plug on the deal. That would leave chief executive Neil Doncaster with questions to answer as Gers claim they made the Hampden supremo aware of their concerns.
