Rangers legend Andy Goram admits there were tears at Hampden as he watched Rangers lift the Scottish Cup with son Danny.Despite 'The Goalie' enjoying a glittering career with the Ibrox side, this was the first time the pair had watched a cup final together.Cancer-stricken Goram has been given just months to lift, following a terminal oesophageal cancer diagnosis. But the 58-year-old who lives in Coatbridge was a VIP guest at the Scottish Cup final to watch Rangers beat Hearts 2-0, alongside son Danny, 36, from his first marriage to Jackie Taylor, who travelled from his home in England for the occasion.

Goram, who was a three-time Scottish Cup winner with Rangers, told the Daily Record : "Me and Danny had never been to a cup final together, so you know how important this one was. “This was last time I’ll ever see Rangers win a trophy because of this f****** cancer.“So Rangers simply had to win this final.“You can imagine the emotions I was feeling at the end.“There were a few tears.“I know I won’t see many more games, never mind another final, so I was relieved to see Rangers win one more cup with Danny.“It was our first and last final together and it was made possible by my good friend Sammy Preston, who invited us to his VIP box at Hampden.”Goram also revealed that he was forced to cancel plans to travel to see Rangers play against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League final on May 18, and instead met up with former boss Walter Smith's widow Ethel.Smith, who signed Goram from Hibs in 1991 for £1 million, lost his own battle with cancer last October.Goram said: "I wanted to go to Seville but cancer made the trip a no-no.“I was recuperating in Helensburgh and met Ethel for a coffee on the day of the Europa League final.
