Ally McCoist has called for Britain's footballers to follow the example of Rangers stars when they were in administration and save the jobs of regular staff members.
The Ibrox legend is in disbelief that clubs such as Tottenham are putting non-playing staff on furlough while owner Daniel Levy is paid a £7million bonus for their new stadium.
They aren't the only super-rich club, though, to be accused of taking advantage of the Government scheme that allows up to 80 per cent of wages to be paid by the state.
When Rangers were put into administration back in 2012, every player in the squad took a wage cut to ensure nobody lost their jobs on the non-playing side.
