In the wake of yet another Rangers derby defeat, Philippe Clement's record in the fixture is being scrutinised.The Belgian has had five goes at beating Celtic and has come up short each time.

The last one to do so in a meaningful game was Gio van Bronckhorst in the 2022 Scottish Cup semi-final. The last to do it in a league game that meant anything was Steven Gerrard.

And the 55 winning boss' record is now looking better with each passing clash with the Hoops.Gerrard played 13 derbies, won eight of them, drew one and lost 4.

In the 13 games since he left, Rangers have won 2, drawn three and lost eight. It's therefore no surprise that wistful glances are being cast to Saudi Arabia, where Gerrard is currently in charge of Al Ettifaq.
