It's reported that 10 of the 12 Premiership clubs are in favour of moving the winter break - but Rangers are NOT one of them.
New restrictions were announced by the Scottish Government on Wednesday that have come as a hammer blow to SPFL clubs. From Boxing Day only 500 fans will be allowed to attend matches, regardless of stadium size, for a period of at least three weeks.
January 2 was scheduled to be the biggest weekend in the Scottish football calendar, with Celtic taking on Rangers as well as the Dundee, Edinburgh and Ayrshire derbies.
As things stand those showpiece games would be played in almost empty stadiums, leading to calls for the winter break - due to begin on January 3 - to be moved forward and the matches rescheduled.
