The second week of Ramadan came and went quickly – it feels like the month is flying past me! Thankfully, I’ve gotten used to not eating or drinking from sunrise to sunset.
I don’t feel as hungry anymore and my mind is now a lot clearer – having settled into some sort of routine, getting through the day feels like I’m not fasting!
This week, I started going to the mosque after Iftar (the evening meal) for the night prayers. It was an amazing experience – there’s a strong community spirit when hundreds of people are praying together at the same time.
It’s also a time where I get to meet old friends I don’t get the chance to see during the year. We catch up over food and make plans for the next few weeks of Ramadan.
