Ayr United earned a hard fought point in Kirkcaldy as they prepare to begin life under a new boss at Somerset Park.Interim manager Davie White saw his troops deliver their second clean sheet in a row under his leadership as a wide open game in Fife remarkably ended goalless.United had to ride periods of sustained pressure against an impressive Raith side who looked well worthy of their second place in the league.But Ayr contributed plenty to a contest that offered much and could even have grabbed all three points for themselves.White had largely struck with the team that looked transformed at Cappielow on Saturday, with Michael Moffat the only tactical switch in place of Mark McKenzie.And Ayr could and probably should have been in front.
