Radio remembers RTÉ 2FM DJ Alan McQuillan two years after his death

Friends of Alan McQuillan have remembered the 2FM DJ two years after he suddenly passed away. He died suddenly at Beaumont Hospital at the age of 37 as the result of a blood clot in January of 2019.

Over the weekend, his close friends and colleagues paid tribute to him on social media. 2FM shared a picture of the DJ on Saturday with the caption: ‘Time passes so quickly.

2 years ago today we lost our best friend Alan McQuillan. And it still doesn’t seem real. “Al back at base” We’re all thinking of you ❤’ 2FM’s weekend breakfast presenter Carl Mullen shared the picture and wrote: ‘Our aul Alzer ♥️’ ‘It’s hard to believe that it’s two years since we lost our lovely Al Pal,’ presenter Emma Power wrote on her Instagram Story. ‘Al was the legend
