Charlie Hedges has been left overwhelmed with support after she admitted she was ‘loving’ her post-pregnancy body. The BBC Radio 1 DJ announced she was expecting her first child in March, and gave birth to a baby girl on August 13.
She shared the news last week with a sweet photo of her and her partner, whose identity she has not revealed, cradling the newborn’s hand. ‘’Soul of my Soul, And God created Woman,’ Charlie wrote in the caption. ‘Our beautiful Summer-Rose was born Saturday 13th August 2022.
Life is complete ❤️AND… she was born to…. in true Dance Anthems style….Calvin Harris – Summer!!!! Literally as the tune drops she arrives into the world.’ Days later, Charlie shared an update on her new life as a mother with a selfie of her embracing her baby bump, telling her followers: ‘Loving my after pregnancy belly.’ It seems Charlie was flooded with uplifting messages from her followers, with many praising her for shunning ‘snapback’ culture that new mums are often subjected to on social media.
Reacting to the response, the radio presenter wrote in her Instagram stories: ‘Just wanted to say THANK YOU, I have soooo many dms of support, encouragement and lovely comments. ‘It’s important to me to show you how REAL life is after having a baby, so expect more post pregnancy belly photos and anything else that’s going on at the min.
