Rachel Chinouriri has shared her reaction to Adele sending her flowers for her BRIT Awards nominations. The nominees for 2025’s ceremony were unveiled on Thursday (January 23), with Chinouriri receiving nods for Artist Of The Year and Best New Artist.
It follows the release of her debut album ‘What A Devastating Turn Of Events‘ in 2024.Among those congratulating her was fellow BRIT School alum Adele, who sent the former NME Cover star a bouquet of pink roses alongside a note that read: “Congratulations on your Brit nominations Rachel.
I’m so happy for you and can’t wait to come to a show! Lot’s of love, Adele.”Reacting to the delivery, Chinouriri took to Twitter/X to write: “Help how do I recover from this,” adding: “I’m shaking … violently.”She continued on Instagram, saying: “I know this stuff is sometimes not a big deal to some other artists, but I think because I went to BRIT School, I remember seeing Adele standing on the stage and she was like, ‘I used to be like you,’ when she was performing.“And she pointed down to the bit and I was in the pit,” she said. “I remember being like, wow, that’s so cool — I’ll never be able to do that, though.”THANK YOU ADELE.
