Queen to attend State Parliament Opening in first public royal engagement since Prince Philip's death

The Queen is set to carry out her first major public royal engagement at Westminster today 11 May since her husband Prince Philip's death last month.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will travel from Windsor Castle to the Palace of Westminster by car.The 95 year old monarch will be attending the State Opening of Parliament, where she will be joined by her son Prince Charles and Camila.The Prince of Wales has been by the Queen's side for the last three state openings, including two in 2019 and one in 2017.
