Queen Elizabeth II was allegedly left "angry" after finding out Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had chosen to use her nickname, Lilibet, as their daughter's name in 2021.

Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, claimed to have asked for permission from the late Queen, who passed away in September 2022, to use the name, with a spokesperson for the couple releasing a statement at the time, saying the Sussexes would not have proceeded with naming their daughter Lilbet had the Queen been unsupportive.

However, royal author Robert Harman has claimed the late monarch was furious over the couple's use of the name Lilibet and their claims that they'd requested permission.

According to the Daily Mail, the late Queen told her aides: "I don't own the palaces, I don't own the paintings, the only thing I own is my name.
