Queen's funeral TV coverage on Monday as BBC, ITV and Sky announce schedules

The Queen's funeral will be broadcast around the world at 11am on Monday September 19, as she is laid to rest.Three of the UK's main broadcasters BBC, ITV and Sky News will lead the coverage with special programmes as their normal schedules are put on hold.Her Majesty passed away last Thursday at the age of 96, Buckingham Palace confirmed in a statement at the time, reports The Mirror.Many dignitaries and world leaders will join the Royal Family at the funeral, as they bid a final farewell to the monarch.

TV channels across the UK will be marking the historic occasion with special coverage, and here's all the details:On the BBC, Huw Edwards, Kirsty Young, Fergal Keane, David Dimbleby and Sophie Raworth will be leading the coverage, broadcasting from across the UK.

Huw and Fergal will be based in London, whilst Kirsty and David will be live from Windsor. Sophie will be at Parliament Square while Anita Rani will share the day with viewers from the Long Walk at Windsor.

JJ Chalmers will be at Wellington Barracks as they all come together to mark the historic day.The special programme will air from 8am to 5pm on BBC One, BBC Two and iPlayer and BSL coverage on BBC Two.For ITV, broadcasters Tom Bradby and Julie Etchingham will helm the coverage.Their programming will begin at 9.30am and will cover the funeral service, which will take place at Westminster Abbey, as well as the mile-long military procession as the monarch is taking on her final journey through London.
