He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

While the Sussexes didn’t publically share their birthday well wishes for the Queen on social media (after all, their Instagram account is inactive), Prince Harry, 35, and Meghan Markle, 38, did make sure to join in on a Zoom call to celebrate Her Majesty’s birthday back in April 2020.

Now, sources with the Times (UK) are saying the Queen “is said to have noted that Archie has his father’s red hair” during their chat.
