Queen Camilla has earned the "admiration" of her sister-in-law Princess Anne, a royal expert claims. Her Majesty received an Honorary Doctorate of Literature on 20 November, proudly presented to her by Princess Anne at the University of London.The two senior royals stood together for formal photographs as Camilla received her Honorary Doctorate, marking a rare joint engagement for the two women.
As the the Chancellor of the University of London, the Princess Royal, 72, led the proceedings at the Senate House building in Bloomsbury.
She invited Camilla, 77, up to sign a book and receive her doctorate, before posing for photographs. Her Majesty has long championed literacy and literature as part of her Royal duties.
She is a patron of a number of relevant charities and also founded her own book club, The Queen's Reading Room. The event marked a rare joint outing for Camilla and Anne, which former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has claimed shows that Camilla has won the "admiration" of her sister-in-law.
