Queen Camilla‘s coronation day wardrobe will include something that Queen Elizabeth first wore when she was crowned Queen.
Details are being revealed about what the Queen and King Charles will wear when he formally ascends the throne on May 6.
The King’s wardrobe also features a callback, his to something that his grandfather, King George VI, wore at his 1937 coronation. The red velvet robe will be switched out for a Robe of Estate, which will be worn out of Westminster Abbey after the coronation is complete. King Charles‘ Robe of State was worn by his grandfather at his coronation.
