QPR have taken a sly dig at new Rangers manager Michael Beale after his appointment at Ibrox. The former Aston Villa coach has been confirmed as Giovanni van Bronckhorst's successor just six months after taking up his first management gig at Loftus Road.
It was only last month that Beale pledged his allegiance to the English Championship side after rejecting an offer from Premier League outfit Wolves and that's not been lost on his now former club.
A statement reads: "QPR can confirm Mick Beale has left his position as head coach with immediate effect to take up the managerial role at Glasgow Rangers.
Beale came to Loftus Road six months ago and the club has made a solid start to the 2022/23 campaign under his guidance, currently sitting seventh in the Sky Bet Championship.
