A puppy has become the world's most expensive sheepdog after selling at auction for more than £27,000. Kim, a border collie from Ceredigion, Wales, was sold at an online auction to Eamonn Vaughan, from Newcastle, just days before her first birthday.

The eyewatering fee beats the previous record set by border collie Henna, from Brecon, Wales, which sold for £20,000. Welsh farmer Dewi Jenkins, 28, who trained Kim, said the talented pup is able to perform tasks solo after a single demonstration.

And she can already gather entire herds of sheep and cattle single handedly while out of her owner's sight at his family farm in Talybont.
